Visiting the many restaurants in downtown Pittsburgh while staying in shape is a rare feat - unless you're on yours with the "People Who Run Downtown", the popular running, jogging, walking and talking group.
Each Tuesday - rain or shine, snow or heat - people including marathoners and others lacing up their running shoes for the very first time meet at 5:30 p.m. and begin their walk or run at 5:45 p.m. You will have no trouble finding people to run/walk with, as the group has all ages and abilities, from 7-minute milers to walkers. Maps are provided with 2, 4, and 6 mile courses, so you shouldn't get lost.
Back at the start/finish line, the "People Who Run Downtown" meet for refreshments, dinner and fun.
Membership is free.
